Our community is facilitated by number of leaders (Elders, Directors, Leadership Teams & Staff). At the bottom of the page is a link to our Organizational Document that gives further information as to how we are structured as a community. Below are staff for NLV community.
Eighty-Eight Congregational Leaders. Mark and Ruth Taverner
Mark and Ruth Taverner moved to Langley BC, in the summer of 2006. They moved from Edmonton where they were pastors of Avenue Vineyard. Mark and Ruth were born in England and moved to Canada at age 22. They both have backgrounds in the fine arts and continue to enjoy creative pursuits. Ruth excels in teaching the arts and Mark loves to produce odd paintings. Along the way they have collected four children, Charlotte, Joey, Bronte and Thomas who all exhibit creative tendencies and active imaginations.
Strathcona Congregational Leader. Dawn Humphreys
Originally from UK, Dawn has lived here since July 2000. She works for NLV in a part time capacity giving leadership to the Strathcona congregation and is also on staff at Jacob's Well www.jacobswell.ca
Arts & Community Leader. Naomi Lippett
Naomi hails from the UK and creativity, people and the arts are her passions. She works in the community with a number of artists of all ages helping them realize their creative potential and role as image bearers in this world. Mostly working in Walnut Grove, she if helping build links between different arts & community groups, calling them to work together and use their creative gifts to give voice to social issues in today's society. You will often find her in the Water Shed Arts Cafe working with a coffee and her macbook
Youth Leader. Gwen Cornish
Gwen is a real live wire who can be found hanging out with youth, laughing a lot and sharing her passion for God with everyone around her. She is currently starting her own business as a bag designer.
