VISITING EIGHTY-EIGHT

Every Sunday we gather as a community at WGLC. The purpose of these times is to re-connect with one-another and together with God. Below are some of the things that you can expect on a Sunday gathering.

Expect songs. We have a time of expressing our hearts to God through music and song, where we knit our voices together, putting words of truth on our lips.

Expect a Bible conversation. Every week we engage with the bible and our story through history. This is facilitated by one person who has a deeper understanding of the subject we are looking at. Often there is a time to discuss what has been presented together as a larger group and there we discover Christ speaking to us through each other.

Expect a family atmosphere. We love our kids and often you will find them expressing themselves in various ways during our times of sung worship. They have much to teach us and we have much to share with them. During the Sunday gathering they have their own 'learning' time in another space, where they explore the same topic that we are discussing but in ways they can relate to.

Expect communion/eucharist. Every week the eucharist is available to partake of. We believe this to be central to our gathered times on a Sunday.

Expect feasting together. The third sunday of every month is our shared meal which we all contribute too. We often have a shorter time of conversation where we tell stories of what is going on in our lives, share communion and then continue feasting around the dinner table.

Expect to be welcomed. We are a small community and we love that everyone has the opportunity to be known. Come and join us at one of our Sunday gatherings to find out more about our lives and how we are following God.

Our gatherings start at 4pm and here's where we are located:

Walnut Grove Lutheran Church, 20530, 88th Avenue, Langley, BC, V1M 2Y6
